About PACE

Following the World Summit for Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg in 2002, the UK Government recognised that small-scale CDM projects offer an ideal opportunity to fulfil environmental and development goals.

The PACE Centre aims to reduce the cost of making the carbon market work in Southern Africa. We offer support, advice and a new mechanism to facilitate local carbon-saving projects that have developmental benefits - "Credible Carbon™".

We are a South African voluntary organisation, registered as a Not-for-Profit-Organisation, and funded mainly by grants from national and international governments.
